Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Below are answers to questions I hear most often. If you don’t see your question answered, please reach out — I’m happy to discuss anything on your mind.

What do therapy sessions cost?

Individual therapy sessions are $175 per 50-minute session. Couples therapy is $200 per 50-minute session. Payment is due at the time of service via card or check.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, I accept most major insurance carriers including Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Carelon, Cigna/Evernorth, Behavioral Health, and out-of-network benefits. I’m happy to verify your coverage before your first session so there are no surprises.

What is your cancellation policy?

I request 24 hours notice for cancellations. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged in full. Life happens — I understand that things come up. Just reach out as soon as possible if you need to reschedule.

Do you offer sliding scale or payment plans?

I’m open to discussing payment arrangements for clients with genuine financial constraints. Please call to discuss your situation. I believe therapy should be accessible, and I’m willing to work with you.

Do you offer virtual (telehealth) sessions?

Yes, both in-person and virtual sessions are available. Virtual sessions are conducted securely via HIPAA-compliant video conferencing, so you can receive therapy from the comfort of your home.

How long is the free consultation?

The initial consultation is 15 minutes and completely free. This is a chance for us to discuss your needs, answer questions, and determine if we’re a good fit before you commit to ongoing therapy.

How often do I need to come to therapy?

Frequency depends on your needs and goals. Some clients benefit from weekly sessions, while others prefer bi-weekly or monthly. We’ll discuss what works best for you during the consultation and can adjust as needed.

What if I don’t have insurance or prefer to pay out-of-pocket?

Out-of-pocket rates are $175 for individual sessions and $200 for couples sessions. Many clients choose this option for privacy or because they prefer the simplicity of direct payment. Payment is due at the time of each session.
